What Makes BraasFest Different? Our Sponsors!

What Makes BraasFest Different?

There are many real ale & beer festivals going on all year round. And, all have their unique features.

But, not many, as far as we know can boast of the support we get from our sponsors. It’s been a feature of the Bo’ness Festival since way back to the first one in 2001 in support of the Bo’ness 400 Celebrations.

There may have been only a few back but they made the difference then and still do now! Way back we used to promote with the slogan, “Sponsor A Cask”.

Each sponsor was allocated a beer and had their name listed on our ‘washing line’. In case you are confused, our washing line is the line suspended above the bar listing the brewery, the beer and its abv (alcohol by volume).

That was fine when there were only 30 sponsors. As the festival got more successful more sponsors asked to be included. This year we have 45 sponsors, all local businesses and individuals. When you only have space for 30 beers and 3 ciders that could be a problem!

But, it’s not! Our sponsors are still happy to contribute as all the excess funds generated by the festival goes back into the community with donations to local groups, organisations and projects helping to improve Bo’ness.

They are happy to have their name or business listed in the festival programme and displayed on our rolling slide presentation.
